Everyone has a lot to say.
There is something to be said about the parties thrown in Dallas. And no, these are not more condescending remarks about the demographics shaking it up, or bringing it down per each event.
Like many experiences, achievements, and the ending results of said situations, there are several different opinions and ways in which we respond. I like to think that these shindigs are planned with, at the risk of verbally dressing myself in Hollister and taking a beer bong hit, the intention to “BRING THE PARTY.” We do what we do to get by, and then we need a release. What brings the party and catalyzes this release more than unencumbered joy?!
Our current social circles produce so much talent and skill in the realms of art and music. As a community we circulate a lot of inspiration. At least that’s how I see it, rather, would LIKE to see it.
Opinions and dramatics aside, I think it’s time to remember what a collective of friends and acquaintances really should be. Between the musicians, photographers, party planners, DJs, cyclists, movie geeks, stylists, latte artists and dancing machines, it’s necessary to tell your ego to “jog off” and see what life and energy we are all bringing to the metaphorical table.
Cause we’ve got ourselves one hell of a feast (reminiscent of that memorable scene in “Hook” of course).
